Welcome to the Rutgers University Debate
Union website. The Debate Union is in the unique position of
not only being one of the youngest student organizations
around Rutgers, but also one of the few that can stake
claim to some of the oldest and most revered traditions at the
University.
We welcome all new members and require no previous debating
experience. We focus on developing the ability to present ourselves orally
in eloquent, lucid, and convincing fashion. Above all,
however, is our enduring commitment to each other that forms
bonds that will last a lifetime. After all,
we’re all here not only to better ourselves but
also to have a great time …
